Performance Practice

My professional performance practice is evolving and diversifying as my field of collaborators continues to grow. I've worked as a director, a performer and a facilitator of performance projects and my work has toured widely in the UK and Europe.

My artistic collaborators include Karen Christopher, Kate Craddock, Anna Fenemore, Lisa Kendall, Hannah Butterfield and Catherine Laws. I've also performed with Third Angel in the world premiere of George Perec’s radio play The Machine at Bloc and the Crucible in Sheffield.

My ongoing collaboration with Karen Christopher and Haranczak/Navarre Performance Projects has resulted in our duet piece '7 Falls' being presented at GIFT Festival Gateshead in 2012, ACT Festival Bilbao in 2013 and Experimentica Festival in Cardiff in 2015.

My current collaboration with pianist and composer Catherine Laws will result in a new work,'Piano in Pieces' (working title), which will premiere at the York Music Festival in May 2016.

I’ve directed and performed a number of theatre and sound works in collaboration with colleagues and students under the company names  'fastanddirty theatre UK', the PALM Ensemble and 'Teresa Brayshaw and friends'. Many of these works have been specifically commissioned and have played at festivals in the UK and have toured to Montenegro, Romania, Italy, Slovakia, Turkey, Palestine and Scotland.
